How the settings are organised
The settings are split into tabs: General (name, contact, labels), Appearance (logo, colour, images), Booking page (display, form, social & SEO), Bookelva app (visibility, preview, location), Booking rules (lead times, time grid, holidays), Payments (online payment, deposit, TWINT), Privacy (retention, template policy) and Domain & website (URL, DNS, embedding). On a phone you pick the tab in the bar at the top, on a computer in the list on the left.
How to save changes
- Change the fields you want in one or more tabs.
- Look for the yellow dot: it marks tabs with unsaved changes.
- Check in the bar at the bottom how many changes are pending and in which tabs.
- Click Save; Saved then appears.
Gallery and business holidays are saved immediately, everything else only with Save.
How to enter business and contact details
- Open Settings → General.
- Under Business, enter the Shop name and the Tagline (subtitle).
- Under Contact, enter the Address, Phone and Email.
- Click Save.
The contact details appear on the booking page, in customer emails and in the template privacy policy.
How to adjust the labels
- Open Settings → General and scroll to Labels.
- Enter the Staff label (singular) and the Staff label (plural), for example “Stylist” and “Stylists”.
- Enter the Service label, for example “Treatment”.
- Click Save.
The labels appear everywhere: on the booking page, in the admin and in the menu items for your team and your services.
How to set language and currency
- Open Settings → General and choose Deutsch, Français, Italiano or English under Language.
- Open Settings → Payments and choose Swiss franc or euro under Currency.
- Click Save.
The language applies to the booking page (as the default), to emails and SMS to your customers and to the admin. The country of your business is set by Bookelva and cannot be changed in the admin. Time zone and phone prefix depend on it.
How to complete the privacy details
- Open Settings → Privacy.
- Add everything listed under Privacy policy incomplete, for example the address incl. postcode and town.
- Under Keep booking data, choose 12, 24 or 36 months after the last appointment.
- Open the policy with View privacy policy and read it.
- Tick I have reviewed the template privacy policy and am responsible for its content.
- Click Save.
As long as details are missing, your booking page only shows a neutral notice at /datenschutz. People whose last appointment is older than the period you chose are anonymised automatically every night. For access or deletion requests about a single person, use Data protection requests further down.
