Domain & website

Learn how your booking page appears under your own address and how to add it to your website. You find everything under Settings → Domain & website.

Your booking page already has an address

Your booking page is already available at a Bookelva address, for example salon-aurora.bookelva.ch. You see it in the sidebar of the web admin on the card Booking page live and copy it with Copy link. On every plan you can use this address as a normal link on your website or on social media.

How to connect your own domain

Plan: Pro and aboveAdmins only

Your own domain is included in your subscription from Pro upward, at no extra cost from Bookelva. Bookelva sets it up on request.

  1. Send Bookelva a request: open Support in the menu and enter the address you want under Request to Bookelva, ideally a subdomain such as termin.salon-aurora.ch.
  2. Bookelva registers the address and tells you which DNS record to add.
  3. Add this DNS record at your domain provider, where your domain is registered.
  4. Bookelva lets you know as soon as the address is reachable.
  5. Enter the address under Settings → Domain & website in the field Public URL / domain and save. From then on, emails, cancellation links and the embed code point to your address.

Your standard Bookelva address stays in place. Signing in to the admin, passkeys, calendar connections and the app keep using the standard address.

How to enter the public URL

Plan: Pro and aboveWeb admin and appAdmins only
  1. Open Settings → Domain & website.
  2. Under Public URL, enter your address with https:// in the field Public URL / domain, for example https://termin.salon-aurora.ch.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Open the page with the arrow next to Your booking page: and check that it appears.

The public URL controls the links in customer emails, the cancellation link and the embed code. Only enter it once the address works. If the field stays empty, customer emails use the standard address of your booking page. The web admin, however, then shows only the placeholder https://your-domain.ch next to Your booking page: and in the embed code. So fill in the field before you copy the code. Paths such as /book are removed when you save.

What the guide in the admin means for you

Plan: Pro and aboveWeb admin onlyAdmins only

Under Connect your own domain you find Show guide (5 steps). It describes how to run the booking page yourself (hosting, DNS, calendar connection). It does not apply to businesses that use Bookelva: follow the steps under “How to connect your own domain” instead.

How to add a booking button to your website

Plan: Pro and aboveWeb admin and appAdmins only
  1. First enter the Public URL / domain and save.
  2. Open Settings → Domain & website and scroll to Embed on your own website.
  3. For the field "Book appointment" button (HTML for your website), tap Copy.
  4. Paste the code into an HTML block in your website editor and publish the page.

The button uses your accent colour and opens the booking page in a new tab. Without a public URL, the web admin puts a placeholder into the code instead of your address.

How to embed the whole booking page

Plan: Pro and aboveWeb admin and appAdmins only
  1. Open Settings → Domain & website and scroll to Embed on your own website.
  2. For the field Embed booking page (iframe), tap Copy.
  3. Paste the code into an HTML block in your website editor.
  4. If needed, adjust the height in the code (height:900px) and publish the page.

Here too: enter the public URL first, then copy the code.
